Solaris

In March of this year, the Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS) unveiled its new pension administration system, the State of Louisiana Retirement Information System, SOLARIS.

The new system replaced a 20 year old legacy system and was the result of an effort that began in August of 2004. As of July 2006, SOLARIS began paying retiree benefits and on March 10, 2008 began handling all active and retired member functions.

The LASERS Board of Trustees and executive management continue to be committed to enhancing and modernizing the retirement process, customer service, information technology, and staff performance in an effective and cost effective manner.
